Undawn

After several tours and over 130 shows on their all-time show list, the band is ready to be taking itself to a higher level with this brand new album. This time with a complete musical concept about the way things should be and the way they are not: Melodic metalcore with a message.

After being completely blown away by the metal genre, Tom en Michiel flung themselves entirely on their passion by founding the band in 2007. Less than 2 years later, in 2009, the band stated its potential by winning the Dutch edition of Metal Battle. In 2011 the band released its first debut album ‘Jumpers’, which Aardschok Magazine called “the best metalcore album coming from the Netherlands so far”. The song ‘Glacier of Tears’ made it to ‘Best Metal’ on the 22Tracks website. In the following year the band participated in ‘The Metal Expierence’ tour, powered by Jack Daniels and Large Popmerchandising. Since UNDAWN has done a great number of shows in- and outside The Netherlands, which included support slots for Textures and Soulfly.

‘Justice is..’ is the title of UNDAWN’s second album on which they sound more dynamic, aggressive and powerful than ever before. ‘Justice is..’ deals with the band’s viewpoints and perspectives within the context and contrasts of today’s society all wrapped up and packaged in their musical endeavours, where every song touches upon their personal outlook of what is just according to these young, thoughtful musicians.

With their energetic and explosive live shows, enthusiasm and lively stage presence, UNDAWN is mainly described by the crowd as fun to watch and a sight for sore eyes.
