Powerstroke

Established in 2007, POWERSTROKE began to rise in the underground as a thrash / old school hardcore star. Quickly they gained attention from acts like Death Angel, Pro-Pain, Agent Steel, and yes, they all invited the band to join them on their shows as main support. Pro-Pain and POWERSTROKE became family, band members lodging at each other’s home, resulting in a feature from Gary Pro-Pain on their second album ‘Awaken The Beast’. Their rising star started to shine even brighter when Ice-T himself handpicked the band to be Body Count´s main support on two separate European tours. Lovely Coco (actress, dancer and glamour model web personality but most of all Ices’ wife) personally saw to it, that their singer, Bavo, could show off his secret skills and appointed him as her personal butler on these tours. Ice-T once asked Marty ‘How do you pronounce the name?’ Marty responded: ‘PO-WER-STROKE’ Whilst repeating this three times Ice noticed that it was not what he was looking for: ‘No man the name of the place here in Poland’! (which was Krakow). Both of course were laughing their asses off. With ‘In For A Penny, In For A Pound´ the band did not go unnoticed in the Far East either.

In 2020 POWERSTROKE is taking us on ‘The Path Against All Others’, an ode to the divinity that lives inside of you. Composed as a soundtrack to incite the concealed and dark parts of the human soul. Sometimes brutally energetic and at other times like a bad ass pop song, always keeping the Cainian spirit in mind. Leaders amongst men who go against the grain. POWERSTROKE never meant to walk the line, to get indoctrinated by a religious system or society or because something ‘has to be said or done in a certain way’.
