Often great bands come from hidden and secret places. Emerging from a new generation of Basque and Spanish metal bands, CHILDRAIN brings determination, quality and an immaculate live performance. Having developed their own musical signature through the process of having released 3 albums in Spain already, the band is ready to pursue their international aspirations to conquer new territories with their new album “THE SILVER GHOST” as the next stepping stone to build further upon the successes they had so far.

The bond of brothers within a band can be the most powerful creative force. Just look at some of the most powerful bands the metal scene has brought forward, bands like PANTERA, SEPULTURA, GOJIRA or ARCH ENEMY. And so did the journey of CHILDRAIN once begun as well, when the two brothers Ini and Iker from the rugged Basque territory started to explore the energy between them and on a path to create music together.

In the year 2009 they presented their first work, an EP entitled as “A Place Between Hell and Heaven”, followed by their very first album in 2011, entitled “Life Show”. Another milestone was reached in 2013, when they released their 2nd album "A Fairy Tale for the Dissent", which sold almost 8.000 copies as part of a magazine campaign. Their last album "Matheria" was released in 2015 and these last 2 albums have paved the way for a nationwide breakthrough of the band, leading to opportunities to share the stage with international acts such as GOJIRA, HATEBREED, ATREAYU, CRUCIFIED BARBARA and NAPALM DEATH, as well as local heroes SOZIEDAD ALKOHOLIKA and HAMLET. It has also brought CHILDRAIN to the stages of some of the biggest festivals in their home country, including RESURRECTION, DOWNLOAD, KRSITONFEST, and VAGOS OPEN AIR in neighboring Portugal.

Now that they have reached the point, where they are headlining shows and small and medium festivals across Spain, France and Portugal, CHILDRAIN has grown an appetite to reach new audiences and teamed up with no one less than SIX FEET UNDER to embark on their first international tour in April 2019.

CHILDRAIN is delivering a technical and progressive sounding album, combining modern and melodic metal with catchy melodies and a spiritual and awakening message. The lyrics are deep and epic, modern Basque poetry, reflecting the bands spirituality, but also their link with nature and the natural environment, which has shaped much of the Basque identity for thousands of years. Whereas the music has been forged with the same energy as with which BENZOZIA, the Basque mother goddess, has created the world according to Basque mythology.
