Channel Zero was formed in Brussels/BELGIUM in late 1990. A German label, Shark Records, quickly snapped up the young band and their self-titled debut hit the stores in 1992. Produced by W. Stach and mixed in Nashville by Vinnie Paul, the album "Stigmatized" followed in 1993. Furthermore, their enthusiasm in the live arena resulted in shows with Biohazard, Obituary, Napalm Death, Life Of Agony and Pro-pain, along with support slots with both Exhorder and M.O.D. in Europe.
Their third album, "Unsafe" marked a new, sharper, more focused and straightforward sound. Mixed in New York's River Sound Studio by Michael Barbiero (Metallica, Soundgarden, L7, Guns 'N' Roses), this was Channel Zero's first album to be released in the U.S. 1995 was a breakthrough year for Channel Zero which saw them tour across the world with, among others, Megadeth, Danzig, and Biohazard. As well as grace the bills of many famous European festivals (Torhout/Werchter, Pukkelpop, Bourges,...) the band played a headline tour in Australia.
Released in 1997, Channel Zero's final studio offering, "Black Fuel", was engineered and produced by Attie Bauw, a Dutch producer who worked previously with Fight (Rob Halford). Channel Zero split in August 1997.
2010. Channel Zero announces 1 show in the infamous Brussels venue Ancienne Belgique. This 1 show resulted in 6 sold out shows in less than 60 minutes, 12.000 old and new fans can see for themselves that even a 14 year break didn't make the band lose any of their energy and power. Now joined by the impressive international Mikey Doling (ex-Soulfly and founding member of SNOT) on guitar, Channel Zero shook the AB to its foundations. That Summer Channel Zero took again the festival stage co-headlining Graspop and a Rock Werchter show!
The band has now finished their brand new album "Feed 'Em With a Brick", produced by Logan Mader (ex-Machine Head, Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy et Devil Driver). And this album really is a kick in the teeth. It's brutal, vicious and full of power. Feed 'Em doesn't ignore the metal past, but its sounds, song topics and the sheer energy oozing from every song is more then ever 2012.
The band just returned from the 70.000 TONS of Metal and currently high in demand in the Benelux, they’re wiping their schedule for a full European summer tour from May till August 2012. Channel Zero has been confirmed to support Metallica at Werchter Boutique and will be present at Wacken Open Air in Germany, Hellfest in France and a number of other European summer festivals.
